Waneta A. (Bright) Bassett

Waneta A. Bassett, age 76 of Cloverdale, passed away February 2nd, 2025.  She was born in Gasburg, Indiana  to the late Walter Sr. and Elizabeth (Brokamp)Bright.  She married Donald R. Bassett July 21st, 1967 and he preceded her in death August 11th, 2023.  She was a nurse for many years for Putnam County Hospital until her retirement,and was a dedicated mother and grandmother.

                She is survived by her son Donald A. Bassett and his wife Robin of Cloverdale.  Grandchildren Devin Bassett, and Danielle Hubbard.  Also, one great-grandchild Annabelle Bassett.  Siblings, Walter Bright Jr. and wife Oressa, Wayne Bright and wife Linda, Warren Bright and wife Robin, Wanda Williams, and Wilma Farrington and husband Bob.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by her siblings William “Bill” Bright, and Wendy Wright. 

Private Services will be held at a later date.  Cremation was entrusted to Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfunerals.net.
