Steven S. Hancock

Steven S. Hancock, age 59 of Gosport, passed away Suddenly August 5th, 2025. He was born August 16th, 1965, to Robert and Linda (Simon) Hancock.

Steven married Holly (Watson) Hancock June 12th, 1993, and she survives.

Steve began farming right after high school and built a wonderful life for his family in northern Owen County. Steve was devoted to taking care of and improving his land. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his mother Linda Hancock; son Adam Hancock; daughter Stephanie Hancock; brother Charles Hancock; sister Debbie Wieking; nephew Augustus Hancock; nieces Savana Hancock and Lilly Hancock; great-nephew Easton Hancock.

He is preceded in death by his father Robert E. Hancock.

Funeral services for Steven will be held at 7:00 pm Monday August 11th, 2025, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the service time of 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfunerals.net
