Scott A. Petrey Jr.

Scott "Scottie" Alan Petrey Jr. 31 of Cloverdale, IN passed away June 27, 2025. He was born May 11, 1994 to Scott and Margee Petrey and they survive. 

Scottie was a hardworking man. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and a generous son, brother, and friend. He loved spending time with his family. He loved helping anyone who needed it. He loved playing board games, playing darts, fishing, listening to music and singing along with his children, playing video games with his friends and children. 

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his wife, Samantha Petrey, his two children Bentley and Sarah Petrey; his brother Zachary Petrey; his grandmother Judy Consamus (Gigi); his papaw Charles Brickert; his nieces Alex Devellen, Wrenley Murphy, Astella Breeding; Julianna Wildrick; Kenzie Chadwick; his sister Heather Wildrick; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Carol Brickert; his niece Ryleigh Murphy; Grandparents Novella Petrey; Hershel Petrey; and his aunt Charlotte Brickert.  

A Celebration of Life for Scott will be held Wednesday, July 9th, 2025 at 5:00pm, Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until service time.  Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfunerals.net.
