Sara L. Hartman, age 82 of Putnamville, passed away August 12th, 2023. She was born July 13th, 1941, to the late Ralph and Edna (Ford) Milligan. Sara married Allan F. “Stub” Hartman May 1st, 1960 and he preceded her in death December 16th, 2001.
She was a member of the “Historic” Putnamville United Methodist Church now known as Putnamville Church of Faith, the UMW, Church choir, DAR, a lifetime member AQHA, and involved in 4-H a significant portion of her life.
Sara is survived by her daughters Catherine Ann (Darrell) Minor of Greencastle, Lisa Jo (Mike) Klotz of Cloverdale; son Christopher Allan (Julie) Hartman of Reelsville; sister Thelma Andrew of Terre Haute; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; several extended family members and her church family.
In addition to her husband and parents she is also preceded in death by her brother-in-law Melvin Andrew.
Funeral services for Sara will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday August 18th, 2023, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Putnamville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Sara’s name to the Putnamville Church of Faith.
