Russell D. Combs

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Russell Combs aged 87 on April 7th, 2025.  A beloved husband, father and grandfather.  He was born in Mildred Creek, Kentucky October 25th, 1937 to the late Ellis and Bernice (Bowman)Combs.  He married Glenda B. (Little)Combs August 14th, 1957 and she preceded him in death September 30th, 2015.  

Russell is survived by his daughter Gwen(Joe), son Keith(Gloria), grandchildren Clint(Lacey), Adam, Marlana(Andy), Derek(Bethany), Zach(Erica), Cecily(Isacc), Jennifer(Leonard), Amanda(Mark), Daniel(Laura), along with 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his grandson Wyatt A. Smith 

Russell’s life is a testament to his kindness and compassion for everyone. Funeral Services for Russell will be held Friday, April 11th, 2025 at 1:00pm, Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of service.  Burial will follow at the Cloverdale Cemetery.
