Ruby R. Young

Ruby R. Young, age 81 of Greencastle, went to be with the Lord June 8th, 2024.  She was born August 21st, 1942 in Needham, Indiana to the late Everett and Ethyl (Simpson)Shepherd.  She was a member of the Church of God in Greencastle and devoted her life to the Lord and her family being Mom, and Grandma to her kids and grandkids. 

She is survived by her children Randy Walker, Tim Walker and his wife Evelyn, Mark Walker and his wife Luanne.  Eight grandchildren, and multiple great-grandchildren.  Siblings, Arvis Shepherd and wife Shelley, Leon Shepherd and wife Michelle.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings Ardella Melvin, and Hollis Shepherd. 

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 14th, 2024 at 2:00pm, Calvary Fellowship Church, 1249 N. Jackson St., Greencastle, IN 46135.  Visitation will be held from Noon until service time.  Burial will follow at the Clinton Falls Cemetery.  Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net.
