Robert D. Wright

Robert D. Wright, age 84, of Greencastle, passed away April 11th, 2021.

He was born November 30th, 1936 to the late Claude and Doris ( Shipley) Wright.

Robert served his country in the Army from 1954 to 1960 after his time in the military he worked quality control for BDP/Carrier heating and cooling until he retired. Robert was a Charter member of the Eagles in Greencastle.

Robert is survived by his daughter Kelly Wright and her companion Tim Thurston; step-daughter Cindy Long and her companion Dennis Newton; granddaughter Sydney Paris and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth “Betty” Wright; sons Robert “Bobby” Wright Jr.; daughter Jean; brother Thomas Wright; sisters Sallie Turner, Barbara Morelock, and Joyce Hoffman.

Funeral services for Robert will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday April 14th, 2021 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service time of 2:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net
