Norma J. Barger

Norma Jean Barger, age 87 of Greencastle went to be with the Lord May 14th, 2020.

She was born October 23rd, 1932 to the late Sam and Irene Strait.

Norma married Hiram Barger in 1948 and he preceded her in death July 8th, 2017.

Norma was retired having worked for the Banner Graphic and as a cook for DePauw University and the Fairway restaurant.

She is survived by her six sons, Harold Barger, (wife-Lois), Greencastle, Lonny Barger, (wife-Cathy), Greencastle, Larry Barger (wife-Kathy), Brazil, Hiram Barger Jr., (wife-Cindy), Greencastle, Kenneth L. Barger, Greencastle, and Wendell Barger, (wife-Sandra), Coal City; 22 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be private due to corona virus restrictions. The funeral will be broadcast live on the Whitaker Funeral Home Facebook page at 1:00pm Monday May 18th, 2020. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net
