Kenneth E. Baxter

Kenneth E. Baxter, age 76 of Cloverdale, passed away December 31st, 2024.  He was born December 20th, 1948 in Saltville, Virginia to the late James E. and Trula I. (Allison)Baxter.  He served his country during Vietnam in the United States Army.  He was a member of the Hurst-Collins Post 281 in Cloverdale. 

He is survived by his children Tony Baxter and wife Dawn, and Thomas Baxter.  Stepdaughter Sherry Drullinger and husband Dale. Six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.  Siblings Linda Baxter, and Shelby Boswell.  Also, his longtime friend and caretaker Carol Newkirk.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sue Baxter, step-son Gary McCullough, and brother in law Larry Boswell.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 4th, 2024 at 1:00pm, Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time.  Burial will follow in the Cloverdale Cemetery.  Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfunerals.net.
