Joseph P. Loney

              Joseph P. Loney, age 92 of Plainfield, passed away Saturday, January 16th, 2021.  He was born September 1st, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late Ernest and Henrietta (Schuesler)Loney.  He married Doris L. (Davis)Loney April 25th, 1969 and she preceded him in death December 24th, 2009.  He worked for Conrail as a brakeman for 32 years and as a butcher for City Market in Indianapolis.  He had a joke for any occasion and his sense of humor brought everyone together. 

              He is survived by his children, Sandra Welhoelter (Charles) of Indianapolis, Deb Steitz (Joe) of Brownsburg. Also, his grandchildren, Kimberly Roland (Kyle), Christopher Parks, Cameron Parks, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by granddaughter Stephanie Folden. 

              Services will be held Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 at 1:00pm, Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net
