Jo Ann (Brown) McCammon

Jo Ann McCammon, age 83 of Cloverdale went to be with the Lord February 7th, 2025.

She was born April 22nd, 1941 to the late Ralph E. and George Belle (Quick) Brown.

Jo Ann married Leland McCammon July 5th, 1970 and he preceded her in death May 3rd, 2022.

Jo Ann was a member of the Cloverdale Church of Christ where she devoted her time to teaching others through Sunday school classes.

Jo Ann was a teacher at heart earning her B.S. from I.S.U. and Masters from IU in education. She taught in various schools until Brian was born and then became a stay at home wife and mother.

She adored her grandchildren, traveling , reading and taking photos. You wouldn’t often see her without her camera. Her love for travel took her and Leland around the country but mostly to Fairfield Glade, TN and Florida, where much time was spent.

She is survived by her son Brian McCammon and his wife Cara; grandchildren Bryce and Kendyl.

In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by her brother William Brown.

Funeral services for Jo Ann will be at 1:00 pm Saturday February 15th, 2025 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service time of 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfunerals.net
