Jeanne A. Anderson

Jeanne A. Anderson (Nickerson), 74, of Cloverdale, Ind., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 29, 2021.

Jeanne was born on Oct. 25, 1947 in Indianapolis. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Barbara Nickerson.

She married Ralph Anderson on Oct. 17, 1982.

Jeanne is survived by a son, Wesley (Lauren) Anderson of New Palestine, two stepsons, Brent (Marcia) Anderson of Indianapolis and Scott (Sharon) Anderson of Plainfield, three grandchildren, Ian Anderson, Jason Anderson, and Kelli Myers, and two great grandchildren. Siblings Pam Gilman of Cloverdale, John Nickerson of Cloverdale, and Hobert Nickerson of Greencastle also survive Jeanne.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph and sister Dianne (Fran) Rowe.

Jeanne worked many different jobs throughout her life, but was most beloved as the house mother for the Delta Chi fraternity at DePauw University. She impacted and cared for each young man who came through the fraternity’s doors.

Services for Jeanne will be held at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale on Saturday, December 4. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. with a memorial service to follow immediately after. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net.
