James R. Hoffa

James R. (Dick) Hoffa, age 84 of Cloverdale passed away March 5th, 2025. He was born September 6th, 1940, to the late Walter and Mildred (Ruebeck) Hoffa.

He enjoyed the outdoors cutting firewood, woodworking and fishing. He retired from Link Belt Manufacturing.

James married JoAnn (Hall) Hoffa July 3rd, 1965, and she preceded him in death January 1st, 2010.

He is survived by his children Angela (Chris) Stevens of Houston, TX, Bonnie L. Hoffa of Quincy, IN, Charles D. (Donna) Hoffa of New Castle, IN, Diana McLin of Cloverdale, IN; grandchildren Devin Hoffa, Keenan (Breanna) Groundfeather, Tabitha McLin, Christopher Hoffa, Christopher Stevens; great-grandchildren Ethan Willet, Elizabeth Hoffa, Jamelynn Bowman, Noah Stevens, Liam Bowman, DeltaDawn McLin, Karter Stevens; sisters Carolyn Rich, Janet Elliott.

In addition to his wife and parents he is also preceded in death by his great-grandson Jesse Bowman; siblings Don Hoffa, Bob Hoffa, Shirley Bredlove, Marilyn Hoffa, Sandy Daniels.

Funeral services for James will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday March 10th, 2025, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the service time of 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Clayton Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfunerals.net.
