James R. Hinkle

James Russell Hinkle was called home to be with the Lord December 1st, 2025 after a long battle with ALS. James was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He was born on May 31, 1988 to Russell Hinkle and Julie (Terry)Sims. James loved being outdoors, going camping, fishing and playing golf. He also played baseball, basketball, and ran cross country. In his free time, he would play video games online with friends. James attended Northview High School where he graduated with the class of 2007.

James was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Herbert G. Hinkle, Delores M. Hinkle, and maternal grandparents Jewell E. Terry, and Janet E. Terry. Two uncles James P. Terry, Jewell E. Terry. James is survived by his parents Russell G. Hinkle, and Julie A. Sims(Paul). Sister, Jamie L. Cox(Robert), stepsister Alicia Sims along with 12 nieces and nephews, Wayne, Levi, Myra, Isaiah, Eli, Braydon, Cody, Shelbi, Calie, Laihyla, Preston, and Alaina. A private celebration of life will be held for family and close friends.
