Howard R. Jones

Howard Rudolph Jones passed away on December 23, 2025, at Mill Pond Nursing Home in Greencastle, Indiana, surrounded by his loved ones.

Howard was born on July 27, 1941, in Warsaw, Indiana, to Alden and Emma Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Iris Dickerhoff; and his brother, Alden Jones, Jr.

Howard is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carol Jones. Also surviving are his daughters, Andrea (Matt) Nichols and Tiffany (Chris) Wilcoxson; and his ten grandchildren: Zachary, Hannah, Sarah, Joni, Jordan, Dustin, Micah, Josiah, Audrey, and Emma.

Howard grew up in Burket, Indiana, and graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1960. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. During that time, he married Carol Stoltzfus in 1967.

Howard worked faithfully at GenCorp in Wabash, Indiana, for over 45 years. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Howard will be remembered as a devoted family man who found great joy in spending time with his loved ones. He had a deep love for farming and was actively involved in 4-H with his daughters. He was a proud father and grandfather who supported his children and grandchildren in all their involvements and achievements.

Howard’s laughter, great sense of humor, and enjoyment of a good practical joke leave behind many cherished memories. He was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and attended Soul Harvest Church in Cloverdale, Indiana.

A celebration of life service will be held at Soul Harvest Church in Cloverdale, Indiana, on February 16, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 12:00 p.m.
