Homer L. Shrum

                Homer L. Shrum, age 98 of Cloverdale, passed away June 5th, 2025.  He was born in Rutherford, Tennessee February 14th, 1927 to the late Winson and Mildred (Grace)Shrum.  He was a veteran in the United States Army and was a member of the Spencer Church of Christ as well as an avid member of the Clover Meadows Golf Course. 

                He is survived by his daughter Dona Knight-Doerr and husband Frank, and his son Roger Shrum and wife Kim.  Six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Christine G. Shrum, his daughter Anna M. Reynolds. Siblings, Vera M. Britt, Mary B. Alton, Versie Durbin, and Winston “Junior” Shrum.

                Graveside services for Homer will be held Monday June 9th, 2025 at Noon, Cloverdale Cemetery, Cloverdale.  Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfunerals.net
