Genevieve L. (Carter) Short

Genevieve L. Short, age 75 of Poland, went to be with the Lord April 8th, 2024. She was born August 8th, 1948 in Terre Haute, to the late Robert and Mary Evelyn (Leimgruber) Carter. She married John Short in 1971 and he preceded her in death January 12th, 2020.

She was an avid fisherman, and a member of the Cataract Yacht Club. She was a retired nurse and taught nursing at Area 30, Greencastle. Genevieve is survived by her brothers Joe (Judy) Carter, Bob (Marlene) Carter; sisters Nancy (Bill) Glawatz, Mary (Bob) Sitzman.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 11th, 2024 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 12th, 2024 at 1:00pm at the funeral home, with internment to follow at Cloverdale Cemetery.  Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net.
