Dorothy "Marie" Partin

Dorothy "Marie" Partin, age 93 of Plainfield, formerly of Cloverdale Indiana, went to be with the Lord June 5th, 2024. 

She was born March 6th, 1931, in Putnam County to the late Otis and Sadie Griswold. Marie was married to Fred P. Partin on July 28, 1950, and he survives.

Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian. She was so proud of her family and considered them her greatest accomplishment. She loved God and loved to bear witness to all she encountered of his love and mercy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters as well as her son William Alan Partin and great grandson Cory Partin. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Fred, sons Barry (Rose) Partin, Michael (Ruth) Partin, John (Angie) Partin, and daughter Mary (John) Simpson, and daughter in law Patty Partin.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at 11:30am, Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  Visitation will be held from 10:00am until service time.  Burial will follow at the Combes Cemetery in Quincy.  Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net.
