Dorothy Lee (Figg) French of Greencastle, IN. Passed away September 22nd, 2024, at Mill Pond Health.
Born August 17th, 1932 in Shelbyville, KY to Stanely and Murtie (Redman) Figg.
Dorothy married Luther Leon French January 1st, 1950 and he preceded her in death September 13th, 1999.
In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by her brothers J.W. Figg, Paul Ray Figg.
She is survived by her 3 children “Brenda J. Malone, Katrinka (Jim) Bassett, Roy L. (Juanita) French. 7 grandchildren Lee Malone, Michael Sebanc, Alan Bassett, Jamie Bassett Bottorff, Shannon Davis, Kathy Hendricks, Katrena Mitchell; 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Judy Figg, Marlene (French) Alexander.
Dorothy worked several years at Belle Union Feed Mill, then 25 plus years for Bryant Poff of Coatesville, IN and Pro Star until her retirement.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday September 25th, 2024, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the service time of 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial to follow in New Providence Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net.
