Donald R. Bassett

                Donald R. Bassett, age 81 of Greencastle, passed away Friday, August 11th, 2023.  He was born in Greencastle, Indiana February 20th, 1942 to the late Albert and Eva Merel Butler.  He married Waneta A. (Bright)Bassett July 21st, 1967 and she survives.  He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Hurst-Collins Post of Cloverdale. 

                In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Donald A. Bassett and his wife Robin of Cloverdale.  Grandchildren Devin Bassett, and Danielle Hubbard.  Also, one great-grandchild Annabelle Bassett.  Siblings, John Butler, and Pat Bright.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

                Memorial Services for Don will be held Thursday, August 17th, 2023 at 7:00pm, Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until service time.  Condolences may be at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net.
