Dennis Mitchell Blanchard

Dennis Mitchell Blanchard, age 79 of Cloverdale, passed away April 7th, 2025.  He was born October 7th, 1945 in New Iberia, Louisiana to the late Dennis Joseph Blanchard and Thelma (Hulin)Stutes.  He married Theresa (Leger)Blanchard, February 17th, 1980 and she preceded him in death October 21st, 2023.  He was a longtime pipe fitter and welder.  He was also a level four within the Knights of Columbus. 

He is survived by his children Earl Blanchard, Larry Blanchard, Richmond and Deborah Perry of Newalla, OK, Tanya and Harold Ridgway of Greencastle, IN, Denise and Joe Hagan of Westlake, LA.  Nine grandchildren, as well as multiple great-grandchildren. Sisters, Marie Blanchard, and Alozia Gail Vice. 

A funeral mass for Dennis will be held on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025 at 11:00am, St. Paul the Apostle Church, 202 E. Washington St. Greencastle. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time of 11:00 am at the church.  Burial will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery.  Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfunerals.net.
