Cathy Jean (McCammack) Samsel

Cathy Jean Samsel, 65, passed away January 2, 2024 after a short battle with kidney cancer. Cathy was born on May 23, 1958 to Earl Gene and Joyce (Conn) McCammack. She was a graduate of South Putnam High School class of 1976.

Cathy married Eddie Paul Samsel on November 11, 1978. Together they raised Ryan Paul and Emily Suzanne on their family farm. Cathy worked at First National Bank early in their marriage before taking a break to raise her children and be an active partner in their farm, returning later to the bank for several years.

She was preceded in death by father Earl Gene McCammack and brother Mark Duane McCammack.

The greatest joy in her life were her two grandchildren, Carolyn Jean McHugh, and Justin Ray McHugh.

Surviving Cathy is her husband Ed, Mother Joyce McCammack, Son Ryan (Robyn) Samsel, Daughter Emily (Justin) McHugh, Grandchildren Carolyn Jean McHugh, and Justin Ray McHugh, and neice Pam Matherly.
