Bernice Edna Lucas

Bernice E. Lucas, age 83 of Cloverdale passed away January 27, 2020.

She was Born August 3rd, 1936 in Watertown, South Dakota, to the late Edward and Bertha (Dozler) Lausen.

Bernice married James A. Lucas and he preceded her in death November 1st, 1967.

Bernice was an Army veteran and had worked at Cloverdale Schools for many years.

She is survived by her children Richard Lee Lucas and his wife Kelly, and Bryant Scott Lucas and his wife AmyMarie; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; siblings Donald Lausen, Delores Farmer, Beverly Komis, Vivian Thompson and Ronald Lausen.

In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by her son Edward J. Lucas and sister Darlene Yagie.  

Funeral services for Bernice will be at 1:00 pm Thursday January 30th, 2020 at Whitaker Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service time at 1:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Private burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery Spencer, IN.
