Anna Jane (Sanders) Smith

Anna “Jane” Smith, age 80 of Poland passed away November 24th, 2024.

She was born February 28th, 1944, to the late Otis and Vivian (Harris) Sanders.

She was a lifelong resident of Cunot, IN. She graduated from Cloverdale High school in 1962. She worked many years in Indianapolis at Western Electric where she met many lifelong friends. In her later years, she worked at H&R Block where she loved serving the community. She also enjoyed serving at the Oak Grove Baptist Church and the Cunot Community Center. She was an avid euchre player and loved to travel.

Jane is survived by her daughter Suzette Wymer-Jett and her husband Stephen Jett; grandchildren Ellie (Kole) Gray, Alicia (Ross) Killey, Calvin Jett, Shanna McClure, Lakin Benson; brother John Sanders; great-grandchildren Madelyn Gray and Thomas Gray.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Harvey Smith Jr.; brothers Lee Sanders, Roy Sanders, Bill Sanders; stepdaughter Mary Smith-Benson.

A Celebration of Life for Jane will be held December 30th, 2024 at11:00am, Faith Baptist Church, Cunot, Indiana.  Lunch will follow after services at the Cornerstone Pizza and Subs in Poland, Indiana.
